Then look no further. Time has come for me to part with"Pandamonium."
This is for sure one of the most thoroughly restored CJ's in existence. Ground up restoration with all the upgrades we learned in 5+ years of restoring CJs, 74 gallons fuel, state-of-the-art Dynon Skyview both cockpits, state-of-the-art radios, transponder, and intercom (with bluetooth...pretty cool), integrated auto pilot, M14P with MTV-9-260 prop, custom 3 axis trim, and countless other tricks. Email me off list for a full powerpoint presentation. Over 4000 manhours have gone into this restoration, and nearly $300K invested. I'm gonna let it go for a lot less than that. If you want a true "want for nothing" dream CJ, let's chat. I'm motivated to move on.
Speaking of moving on, if any of you know of a good T-6 for sale, please have the seller contact me or shoot me their contact info. I'm actively looking for the right T-6 or SNJ (no Harvards...need Standard Category).
Happy Flying!

Barry, I love you like a brother (well not my brother, POTUS, but some fictional brother) but Hal Morley's Hana Hou is certainly the mostly highly and extravagantly modified CJ in the US fleet. It even smells like a Bentley.

Hi Blitz,
That is for sure true! Mine doesn't have the custom cowl, winglets, fuel injected motor, or lots of other extravagant mods that Hal's spaceship has. Notice I didn't say mine is the "most highly and extravagantly modified" airplane, I said most extensively *refurbished.* The plane was taken completely apart and rebuilt from the airframe up. Just a few examples:
-completely replaced all pneumatic lines using AN bulkhead fittings, walnut blocks, and urethane paint (they are all straight, and show quality).
-ALL valves overhauled
-rebuilt landing gear including seals and chevrons
-show quality control surfaces done by Chuck Pozanek (a legend in the wood/fabric world) with integrated trim tabs on the 3 axis electric trim
-chrome dress kit on engine and EVERYTHING FWF detailed in 2011
-new control cables
-Entire aircraft rewired with combed and laced wiring to show quality standards.
And the state of the art avionics package was completed last year. Oh, and it has a 4 camera HD digital video system.
Every major system and component in the aircraft now has 250 hours on it, or less. The bugs are worked out, the engine is broken in, and it will be a very good airplane for a very long time to come. But, alas, no Bentley smell.
I intended to keep this plane forever, and took full advantage of my shop benefits to make it exactly the way I think a world class CJ should be. It was the last plane to leave my shop before we closed down in CA. I want to fly heavy iron some day and it no longer makes sense for me to keep the CJ when I have plenty of opportunity to fly them with Worldwide Warbirds stuff. I'd prefer to trade the CJ for a nice T-6, but I'll likely get more for my CJ than the type of T-6 I'm interested in buying.
Cheers,
Barry

I don't care what Blitz say I love this CJ Barry! As for the Hannah Hou (right name?) its a beautiful airplane no doubt and a couple mods are something that every CJ needs (cowling, winglets) but you can HAVE that paint job and for the money dumped into that project I can think of a ton more bang for the buck.
