Thanks to all for the "right on point" advises provided- was able to remove the exhaust after spraying, then heating the collar with a propane torch. Now- I can't tighten it up because the insert is rotating - the little pins that were holding it seem to be missing. Looking for options. Thanks again!

About a half-inch play was discovered after the post-flight inspection,
the exhaust pipe is loose at the point where it goes to the cylinder. Tried
to tight it with zero success. I would appreciate for the advice.

It sounds like the exhaust section collar is "frozen" to the exhaust
port insert. Caused by rust on the threads of the exhaust collar.
You can try spraying such things as P B Blaster or Mouse Milk around the
threads and let it soak in for a few hours. It might loosen the rust
around the threads of the collar enough where you can rotate it. You
could also try heating the collar with a propane torch and then try
loosening it first, then tightening it. Don't assume just because you
can tighten it that everything is just fine. You _will_ need to remove
it anyway because there is a "donut" that fits between the flange of the
exhaust section flare and the exhaust port of the cylinder. It may be
totally missing. If it is, the exhaust section will not fit properly
against the exhaust port. You will need to purchase one from M14P
before you reinstall the exhaust section and tighten it up.
If the collar is rotating and it is seized to the threads, you really
should remove the cylinder and send it to Jill at M14P and let them do
their magic loosening the collar AND re-staking the exhaust port insert,
which is a left hand thread.

After soaking it with PBS Blaster shock the joint by tapping on it firmly with
a brass or sand hammer. That should help to break the seized threads loose.
