Hi and thanks Glenn, that is pretty much what I decided to do as there doesn't seem to be much info available.

I use a Landoll Balancer on my -4 and have been very pleased with its'
performance. The documentation you have is all I got when I received mine.
Just follow the picture and look up the bolt torque requirements in the
Aircraft Standards and Procedures Manual (AC 46.13) and you should be set.

Glenn, Pat,
I bought my Landoll balancer at SNF 99' back when Mark used to carry a bunch in his RV4 to the fly-ins. I pulled my cowling at the show, pulled my extension with prop off and bolted it on sans instructions. Piece of cake. It came with grade 8 bolts but I chose aircraft bolts instead and flew home with it.
It has been on for 1000 hours now in all temperatures and with 4 different props. Definitely improves the smoothness but the real benefit is the flywheel effect and extra 12 lbs on the nose it contributes. I have noticed several things. First it is a race car clutch balancer so it has silicone fluid inside that moves to the heavy and light sides while spinning and takes about 10 hours to settle out. When it does, you will notice an improvement in overall smoothness in cruise. Good call...

Pat,
In fact if you're careful you can slip the alt belt back on when you reinstall the flywheel without loosening the alt bolts...Anytime I need to get to the flywheel or change a belt I always remove the extension from the flange rather than the prop. Much easier...
Re-safety wiring the ext/flange bolts takes the most time for the job!
I like simple...
see ya!
