The aluminum hinge needs to be bonded in with either 24hr aeropoxy/flox mix or we used Plexus MA310. Plexus is the structural adhesive used through out the plane for construction at custom fiberglass. 



Once the hinge is cured the gap between it and the lower skin must be filled. Use scrap baggage floor material to fabricate a 1/2" wide part that is the length of the hinge. The material is already the correct thickness at 3/16" thick. Bomd this part in, leave is slightly recessed in ablut 1/16" or slight more for flox filler later.
