Because I've experienced insufficient cooling using the original Chinese horn on my M14P converted CJ, I borrowed an Yak18T horn from Vladimir and had it replicated in carbon fiber and fiber glass. New or used Y18T horns are essentially impossible to find.

If there is enough interest, the talented fellow who made the horn will produce more, and make them available through Doug Sapp. The price will depend largely on the amount of interest generated. Let me know if this appeals to others .

Would the more widely available brass French horn also be a compatible replacement?

The addition of the 18T style cooling horn on the air compressor should extend the life of the compressor because it will allow it to run both cooler and cleaner.  With the price of new compressors being just north of $1000.00 now, this may be something to consider.
