I have purchased wingtip strobe and navigation lights from GS Air. It comes with a XPAK strobe driver, a pretty large and weighty piece of kit. Anyone out there have this, and have you found a good position to mount this thing? What is the best way of running the wires?
Also, the cabling to the wing would require a quick disconnect at the wing root. Any tips on what I can best use for this?

I fitted similar and used a 1 ft square FR4 copper clad printed circuit board straddling the rudder cables behind the baggage bay, I mounted it on two stips of ply reduxed to the floor about 2.25" wide and put my transponder antenna on the underside.
I routed the cables down the tunnel and along the back of the seats.
I added connectors near the spar sockets.
This is not too good though as its can get wet.

I have the same system. I mounted the driver against the ceiling just
behind the D-panel. There are several reasons for this: 1) In case of a
fuel leak the fuel won't run into the strobe driver, 2) this allows for
a symmetrical installation minimizing electrical noise: I have one
straight cable from the unit to the tail strobe, and I have two cables
running down on each side to the wing root.

I have a mill spec connector for each wing, the connector facilitates
the strobes, nav lights, aileron trim, pitot heat, remote camera and
some spare wires. I got these connectors at ebay.
