hi all,

The way I handled the tax was to register the plane as soon as I bought 

the kit.

Then I reported the purchase and paid the tax on the kit.

When the registration came through to the state (NY) they showed it 

already paid.

So I avoided paying double tax on the rest of the parts (about 75% of 

the final cost.).
