I have just installed the Series I propeller on my CJ and I need to handle the paperwork with the FAA.
Because of the experimental category,
I should only have to send a letter detailing the prop info, to the FAA for my file for record. I want to confirm this before opening a can of worms. Has anyone else, with the same prop, done anything different?
Thanks

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

A prop is a 'major change' as indicated in your opspecs.

No letter to FAA.

Two entries in Logbook along with 'recertification' (by you) of your aircraft.

Removed OLD PROP from airframe and installed NEW PROP (Use serial numbers if available) .
Aircraft in phase I operation .

Second entry after your 5 hour flight testing phase.

I certify that the prescribed flight test hours have been completed and the aircraft is controllable throughout its normal range of speeds and throughout all maneuvers to be executed, has no hazardous operating characteristics or design features, and is safe for operation . The flight test was completed under the following conditions: maximum operating weight 9,999lbs,  maximum demonstrated airspeed  800 MPH, and minimum demonstrated stall speed:  200 MPH .
Aircraft in phase II operation .

That should do it, right folks?  (Please, again, correct me if I'm wrong)
