Group,
I suspect my M14P running too rich in the cruise power regime. Flying at 5000ft with cruise I setting, my fuel flow is about 66 liters/hour or 17.5 gal/hour. Since the manual is not very specific about carburettor adjustment, I would need some more information and advice.
The specific fuel consumption is given in the M14P manual for main and cruise ratings but no supplementary information. Is there any information available about how to determine the fuel flow for different density altitudes, RPM or manifold pressures? Is there a preference for either side of the fuel flow range for a certain setting?
How would I “unlock” the metering needle?
Any help would be much appreciated.
