Hi Scott, if you carefully mount the wheel in lathe you should be able to bore out the hub to allow it to take suitable bearings. Bore all the way through and fit a spacer between the bearings. Did mine like this 20 years ago and been great ever since.

Hello - does anyone know where I can source a replacement for my tailwheel as the bearings have failed and a new set will be a loose fit in the recess.
Hoping to find a new wheel. 5 inch dia. 1.5 inch width. Half inch spindle.
