Yesterday I was able to fly. My air intake is now located on the side of the cowl. It seems to have helped stabilize the RPM. I have had trouble with EGT's on Cylinders 5 & 6 and changed them out with new. No 5 is going very high (HOT), but the CHT does not show this. No 5 is running cool. Almost 200 degrees difference between the two. The rest of the EGT are within twenty degrees. Power does not seem to be the same, but may the be the hot temperatures 31C. No. 5 is going hot only in the 3/4 above position. Main Jet. When I pull it back to below the 3/4 position the EGT fall to about normal range just a bit higher.
Looking over the black box numbers the fuel flow is about right. When I got to 6K two cylinders seem to drop off line. 3 & 6. The CHT dropped and the EGT dropped.
I'm thinking that I might have an intake leak, but I can't see it.
Any other ideals out there?
