If you think Jabiru parts are high just be glad you're not buying parts for one of those Austrian made engines.....

PermATEX 6200 is the same as Loctite 620 as for the other I don't know.

I recently rebuilt an engine and Pete had no recommended substitutions.  I got
them from a local industrial supply, but as you found out they were quite expensive.
Wait until you buy new rubber T's...!!!

Mack

Loctite 620 is available from a number of suppliers for less than
$20.  Just google it.   The 7471 primer
is generally not needed if you're using the 620 on threaded fasteners.
Just make sure to remove all old
Loctite with a wire brush or dental pick and thoroughly degrease the
parts with something like Acetone.

Thanks for your input.
It was recommended that I check Amazon - which I did and was able to order both
products for under $40.00, including shipping.
I'm not looking forward to purchasing anything more for that engine, any time soon!
Thanks again,
Mack

You got that right!

I'll take a Jabiru Engine before a Rat-Tax anyday.

Buy a Rat-Tax and join the "AD of the Month Club" - Whoops! They are not lucky enough to have an AD..  They call them Service Bulletins.  Service is something you should NOT expect from a Rat-Tax engine.
