Walt,

We have electric oil shutoff valve kits in stock with different fitting
configurations. The poppet valve on the MN-14A oil pump is highly
susceptible to small bits of debris and generally, a bad seat. We modify
this checkvalve for a ball. The checkvalve "cage" or housing is pressed
into the case and easily damaged without the right puller. We also
frequently find the pressure regulating valve tightened down so that it
bends the spring and the valve is cocked to one side.
Todd.....I have some Yak 50 parts.....2 sets of new ailerons. Contact me
offlist. I have used Dave Hansen for sheetmetal repairs on a 50, in the
past. 435-671-3509. Barry may be able to give a reference.

Any interest out there in carbon fiber cowlings for the 52?

Also, have two new Yak 54s becoming available....new M-14X engines and
Russian props.....any interest??

I am just curious if there has been any experimentation with carbon fiber control surfaces for the Yak 52

Yes, Technoavia in Moscow made a carbon fibre and Kevlar rudder for the 52. It was somewhat bigger, angular, and gave significantly better rudder response. We sold several of them, but about 15 years ago.
