I'm going to make a few "fake" bezels for the Gemini, AP and back up radio... see if Stein will swap my air vents for the black anodized version and overlay the switch labels... but this is feeling close to the finish line. The leather cover over the panel came from Abby to match my seats... should be off to the airport by the end of July.

Looking good Jeff. Keep up the great work. Plane at Chino? I'm flying to NorCal next month, but no stop in SoCal. We have a trip later in the summer in SoCal, and I might be able to slip over there. Maybe Pascal and I will fly over and ck out your project.
In a year or two I'm going to be modifying my panel. Right now it's pretty hard to justify when I have 3 moving maps (counting the Ipad) and synthetic vision.

I have to warn you that once the panel is all lit up, you will sit there staring at it, moving the stick around and making airplane noises. All build effort will slow to a crawl. BTDT. In fact, just installed Dynon ADS-B receiver a few days ago...voila, I have traffic on the screen all around me.........well that figures, since it is in hangar at airport.

excellent Jeff! Looking forward to your first flight in Chino!
Keep us updated, be glad to come by and help with the final inspection
review and putting on them wings.
Hurry up getting it done, Chino currently has the least expensive gas in the
area and you'll be needing a whole lot for the fly off!
Pascal

Ha! After uncountable sessions sitting in the hangar making rude sounds
and stick motions, I recall getting the software update from GRT that
added synthetic vision. I drilled a hole in the side of the hangar for
the GPS antenna cable, sat down and powered it up....
Whoa!! From inside my windowless hangar I could suddenly see the runway
outside! I could also see the lake that was otherwise invisible behind
a stand of (trees aren't in the database).
Construction was halted for several more days of quiet birdman meditation.
Nice panel Jeff! I too have a tan colored panel. You might find that
replacing all the AN screws with black cap head screws will dress things
up quite a bit. Try them for both panel to airframe screws and for the
instruments. Then you may not want to add bezels is my guess. (Yep, the
black vents work well too).
I got the screws from McMaster-Carr - get the black painted stainless or
else they will rust.
