Only one more day until the start of this year's Lightning Aircraft Homecoming and Fly-In. The weather looks like it will be nice, so hopefully a lot of you will be able to fly in and arrive in time for the Friday evening hangar party, burger and brat burn, beer testing, and other lots of fun things.
If you are flying in, I'm sure you will check the NOTAMS for KSYI, but there is a lot of ramp and taxi way work going on. Basically if you land on Runway 18, you will have to stop on the runway and turn around for a back taxi to the approach end of 18. From that point there is no problem with the taxi way right to the Arion hangar. If you land on Runway 36, just roll out all the way to the end and then taxi to the Arion hangar. If you have any questions either call the airport on unicom frequency (122. or a phone call to Arion.
Again, I hope many of you will be here. Carl and Pat Beatrice are already here with their Lightning. Dennis Wilt is due in today, and we think Bear Bryant will arrive either later today or Friday morning. Max and his ladies are expected on Saturday - hopefully in time for the race so he can have another chance of beating Mark's RV.
