I am looking for the best/safest way to block up and tie down my 601HDS with tricycle gear for the nose high, above stall attitude, engine run (as stated below).  Pictures would be very helpful.

I used a car ramp and a come-along to do this. I lifted the nose wheel into the car ramp which put the tail on the ground. I then used a hand winch (come-along) to tie the tail tie-down ring to the bumper of my wife's truck. If you need a higher angle of attack you could put the ramp on some sturdy lumber and dig a hole for the tail. Be sure to take all the slack out of the winch line before you go to full power.
