Can anyone tell me how fast gas should pass thru a fuel filter with just gravity, to supply a IO360?
The one I just tested would pass 60 gph, but I don't know if that will be enough for sure. (2g per 2 min.)
Getting this thing real close.

Rule of Thumb....
10 gallons per hour , per 100 horse power...
60 gallons per hour should do it...
Best... Steve

If it isn't you should look into another engine. You could fly a P51 on
that kind of flow. My friends Cardinal with same engine typically burns
8.5 GPH in cruise and more in climb.

Fuel flow is only one item that you have to attain for the operation of your
engine.... You have an IO which means injection. I think you will find out
you may need lots more pressure than a few inches of head for the fuel
injection... I haven't looked it up but I think it's well above twenty psi
and maybe well over 40 psi. I think carburetted models require between 3
and 6 psi pressure.

One other thing I forgot to mention is fuel filters should be installed
after the fuel pump... Pumps push fuel a lot better than they can suck it.
As a matter of fact you could say they suck at sucking!
