Great list. Any idea how many feet of the two types lines you need. Also, do you order the lines to fit or total length and cut it?

I also note that the last two items on the list for Summit have the same part number.

Sumit Racing TUBE NUT -3 AN EAR-581803ERL 3 $3.25 $9.75
Sumit Racing TUBE SLEEVE -3 AN EAR-581803ERL 3 $1.75 $5.25

Doing a little looking on their site I think that the sleeve is probably EAR-561903ERL. Could you check that?

Your right That's the part # I have this in a spread sheet and that one slipped thru the cracks. Also I just bought 20 ft of the tubing and cut to length. Also when I built the wings I put a disconnect between the wing and fuel selector on both wings so it includes the parts for that also. If you go the metal tube route you will have to get an adapter to go from the bulkhead fitting to the nylon tubing that go to the break cylinders.

This goes without saying,, but. One should never tell the salesman when ordering anything it's for an experimental aircraft. Some companies will just shrug it off and sell ya the parts, I know for a fact Summit will NOT sell you anything when they hear its going on a plane. YMMV

Ben,

How is your 801 doing? How many hours do you have now? Is there any others flying with your package? What is the total engine weight?

I LOVE my 801, wish it flew a little faster but thats the trade off of being able to take off and land in a couple of hundred feet, I am coming up on 200 hours and I have probably 500+ takeoff and landings. Thanks to Zenith for designing a very strong plane, I have tried to break the thing in half by running full power all the way up to 18,000 feet and it shows absolutley no signs of failure, buckling, distorting and any of those other pesky quirks that go along with some dummy douling the HP requirments for an 801. There are only few "don't" I have uncovered. One is, Never hold the stick back with full flaps and let the motor pull it into the air, the plane will rotate and climb well before I see 20 mph on the airspeed indicator, the flaperons do not have proper authority at those low speeds and the plane will torque roll around its axis. I did this once and NEVER again. The motor is working great, in fact alot better then I even envisioned, it is just too powerful for the 801. if I had to do it over again it would have a hopped up 0-400 lyc clone. Zenith reccomends a firewall forward weight of 440 lbs and I am at 437, so it is within the design range but the plane could benefit from reduced powerplant weight and a less HP. It has never been lower then 6400 MSL so maybe at sea level it will be spectacular in STOL traits down where the air is thick. I have been contacted by dozens of RV-10 , Lanciar, Bearcat and other experimental owners wanting the powerplant and it is a perfect fit for those. I will not sell anything till I achieve 300 hours and I am convinced it is a safe and proven firewall forward package. After all those thinks can and will kill people and I don't want that to trouble me as I go through life. As for all you homebuilders. keep at it, the feeling of flying a creation you crafted by hand is "priceless".

This is my excel list of most every part I put in the airplane as I think of more stuff I will add it and post updates then you can just over write this file. One thing I can't remember is where I ordered the bosh coils.
But I will go thru my receipts and add it when I do. The last 2 columns in the spread sheet where for me and can be ignored.

I had my hoses made local and put fire sleeve over them but I would wait until you need them to order them and be sure you only get what you need.
