Anyone heard from Rivethead Aero in the form of a delivery or contact?



I place an order 3 weeks ago, followed up this week with an email and a phone call, mail box full on answering machine....check returned, address no good.



Laughs on me, I ordered them online with Paypal so some recourse if it's gone bad which I don't think it has.



A post by Matt Burch on Vansairforce today asked the same thing, I know a -10 builder on the list is related somehow.

I got my parts from them a week ago I think.  From the time I placed the

order to the time I got it was about 3 weeks.  I think stuff gets made

in batches, and goes out when ready.  I wouldn't worry about

"recourse"... I've ordered a bunch from him, and it always shows up -

just make sure to place the order long before you need the part!

I recieved RV10 door parts in about a month.  Not good follow up to calls 

and emails but the order was delivered.

I've tried numerous times to contact them and place an order before they

showed the door things on the website.  I talked to him once and he was

going to call back.  Never heard from him - I've left several messages

and emails since to no avail.

That's really too bad.  I got the trim cable mounts a while back but I don't recall how long it took.  I'll say it again for any of you vendors lurking, fastest way to make or kill your business in aviation is word of mouth.  Not responding to potential customers, or worse current customers, will do more damage than anything else in the Internet age let alone in hanger talk.



  You want to run a business, act like you actually give a crap about your customers and you will never have to worry about bad press taking a foothold.  Zack, I believe Dave is your nephew or something like that.  He makes some nice stuff but you might want to say something to him before this slides anymore.

Same experience here.  Took a long time.  Little response in the 

interim.  But it all came in and met expectations... except for 

timeliness and responsiveness.  But that includes cost and quality. 



I'll do it again as long as I have the lead time.

In case you have the door guide and pin set could you probably give me close up photos and measurements? 

I didn't get any order confirmation or reply or any communication at all. I will produce them myself and if they come out good I might produce more for people interested.

I cannot understand how people can be so ignorant about customer. I mean I am just expecting an email. I don't even recall how many weeks ago I ordered these parts, and I don't even have a clue if they ever received it. Emails or phone calls are not answered.

I placed an order with them.  Didn't hear boo, but after 3 weeks a 

package showed up at my door.  The quality of the products are 

outstanding.  Be patient, they will show up and you will be pleased.  

The product fill a void and I am grateful that Rivethead is helping out.



If you still want dimensions let me know, but I doubt the effort to 

build them yourself would be worth it.

Maybe we could go through PAYPAL and try and get our money back. Its a hard 

one as people say he will deliver but how long is one meant to wait with no 

comunication from supplier. Is 2 months to long?

Its a bit hard to knock on his door from the other side of the world.

I had a similar situation where I ordered the product and paid via PP

but I paid to the email address on his product website (I think

rvsilverbullet(at)comcast.net) unfortunately he did not have a PP account

under that address and thus was never notified of the purchase. The

refund from PP was easy (for a change) and I did finally get him on the

phone and my parts shipped immediately but the total time was ~6 weeks

from first order to receipt. 

As a long time e-merchant of many different items from many different

sites I can appreciate the challenges of a mom & pop situation however

if you don't take care of you don't take care of your customer they

won't take care of you. Even more so with a small community like the -10

folks. 

I personally own all the software & Haas CNC mills to make any of these

products but no inclination for mass production.

I also have a set of door latches on order since before Oshkosh. My credit card was charged so I think they got the order. On the bright side they still have an answering machine and the phone has not been disconnected. My guess is they have been flood with orders since Oshkosh and are trying to get unburied.

Somebody had previously mentioned that the email address that the website used within paypal was wrong.  I don’t recall who that is but it would be helpful if they could respond with what the correct email address was for them (in paypal).  My purchase sent money to dczach86(at)hotmail.com (dczach86(at)hotmail.com).  I have sent emails to rvsilverbullet(at)comcast.net (rvsilverbullet(at)comcast.net) as well as the hotmail address w/o response.  I haven’t actually called the phone number yet…

            The specifics are coming back to me now. After I requested my payment credit from PP and received it immediately (surprise) Rivethead contacted me and said the PP account was not associated with the email address rvsilverbullet(at)comcast.net (rvsilverbullet(at)comcast.net) and the best way to order and pay for the parts is to click the RV-10 button on their home page and use the order form associated with their shopping cart. Doing this now and checking out via PP takes one to an order form but I don’t see an email address on the check out form. Figures.  

I did however look up my personal PP history and found my payment (July 25, 2007) with a business contact of the seller listed as:

I did, several months ago, receive a response when I emailed him at 

dczachorowski(at)comcast.net You may have luck getting a hold of him there, 

although a response did take several days. I did order the RV-10 parts 

off the website and received them about 4 weeks after I paid.
