Kolber's,
More than a few have suggested that my FireFly page would be more useful if
I added an index. Since I had no idea that the page would grow to the point
that it has, I had no built in accommodation for indexing.
I found a neat "javascript:history.go(-1)........." example that let me
convert all the hard wired "BACK" into a window history back. Once all
the pages had been converted, I was able to go through all the pages and
form up a subject based index. This html is reached from the original
first page:
http://www.thirdshift.com/jack/firefly/firefly.html
Since some pages seemed to fit under several categories, they were listed
multiple times. All "NEXT" are hard wired jumps. If you want to progress
through the pages from beginning to end, just keep hitting "NEXT". If a
page includes a jump, you must use "BACK" or the browser equivalent to
return to the original page.
This is not as much fun as flying, but it does help to pass cold damp days,
and to remember good and not to good times experienced with the FireFly.

And, those same people don't really have to wait for you to create an
index to find things in your site. Just go to Google and type in:
<search term> site:http://www.thirdshift.com/jack/firefly
For example, if I wanted to find entries made with the word "lexan" in
it, I'd type in:
lexan site:http://www.thirdshift.com/jack/firefly
and up pops two pages!

Jack,
I've always been impressed how you've spent your retirement years with the building and modifications of your Firefly. You've done a great service to those people who would like to build a plane someday. I've directed your website to all the engineers I work with and they are very much impressed too. Keep up the good work!
