That really is a sweet looking plane. The stripes design, which I think
came from someone else's plane, are the best I've seen for the
Esqual/Lightning lines. I'm going to see my vinyl man when I get home.
Nice neat panel too Pete.
Attached is a wood effect panel.....well actually it is wood, amazingly
created by a German, not known over in Europe for flamboyand design,
well at least it had a German number.....snapped in Switzerland in 2006.

Actually the stripes are similar but not exact to a paint scheme a company
did for a Jabiru customer of ours....the scheme holds the same idea but is
different completely....and is all paint...

Beautiful workmanship on that wood panel. Whoever did that must have some great wood working equipment or a heck of a lot of time. But don't all switches, knobs, etc. have to be labeled over there?

That's a very good point! The Germans use the experimental rules like
the US so a certain amount of latitude is allowed. Maybe they have a
'map' on the roof or something. It did indeed have great workmanship.
They were camping in it as well I think
