N8WN left the ground around 6:00 am today. It flew like a real airplane should. Flight was short due to winds and cattle on the runway. I did not wear headset since it was so quite in the aircraft. I'm going to enjoy this bird. Thanks Arion, Greg Hobbs and others.

OK.....I had to pick up my jaw off the floor....Johnny, what an awesome job you did on this plane!!!!!! I don't know who the heck you are or where you are from, but man, I could be your best friend reeeeeeeeal fast!!!!

I have been following the lightning for years now since I saw it first at Sun n Fun 2 years ago. I think after seeing your plane I am ready to commit to the project. I would love to speak to you about the plane and basic questions like how long it took you, total cost......and of course about your INCREDIBLE panel!!!! I even love the interior seat design!!!!! Would you mind indulging me with a few minutes of your time to speak to me on the phone. I live in Florida ( NAPLES).
If you can do me this favor I would greatly appreciate it. Respond with your telephone number and I'll call when you say is a good time to.
Thanks in advance.

Congratulations Johnny!

Looks like you have put a lot of creativity in to make this very much your own airplane.

Congratulations, Johnny. When you get the chance, send me an article for the newsletter. Just as long or short as you would like would be fine. Let us know your experiences (both good and bad) and your thoughts on the build process and how the flying is going. Also, I suggest you need to add either a "cow catcher" like on the old west trains, or a "mini machine gun" to get those cows out of the way. Besides, I would hate to see you taxi through a warm cow patty.
Blue skies,

Congratulations, Johnny. It looks great. Mine (N62JV) has been flying about three months, but only has 6 hours TT. I had some medical issues I am getting resolved before continuing with the testing phase. I expect to be flying formation with you shortly.
