The supplier for hatch gas springs is a company named ORR & ORR INC. 3520 South Morgan Street . Chicago, Ill 60609-1524 tel: 773-254-0022. Their part number is FAN119. When you order say it is for your boat.
When I installed my wear pad I used a strong expoxy glue and a heavy star washer under the screw. I maintain 60 pounds of air pressure in my nose wheel tire and have no shimmy problems. I have often wondered if the wear pad could be made out of a bearing material or copper, soft aluminum etc.
I have found the best source for Glasair parts and problems are the people at Phoenix Composites.
I regularly coat my hatch seals with talc powder and have had them on for eleven years and they look as good as new. I have the old style that came with the kit in 1990

I have no idea. The gas springs were changed between the GI and GII.

The gas springs on the GIII are 50#. I purchased mine from McMaster-Carr. The Glasair originals are a hair shorter, but a slight adjustment of the installation hole will make for a perfect fit and $15.00 v. $50.00 option.
