Jim,
Another fun one! Did you waterski in? Or just land a bit
short? I haven't had the courage to try skiing yet, as I only have 5x5 tires.

Trained over very shallow water at very high speed to get used to the feel of the water on the tires. It is actually just like concrete at about 65mph. When you get slow the tires will sink and try to pitch pole you. This water is about two inches deep.

This is the Salinas River which is in central Cahlifonya. The water does not even run year round. We fly the river looking for little sand bars to land on. The sand can be so soft if will pitch you right over if you are not careful.

Hi Guy,

Yes, I water ski the plane but when landing try to stay off the water until it is shallow enough that droping through will not be a problem. That is because the landing speed is much slower than the tire planing speed. Your little tiny tires would be more of a problem. You would need very smooth and shallow water to get started at it. Think parking lot with a shimmer of water on it.

When we took videos I was the camera plane and a Citabria was the subject plane. Therefore the video would be slightly off topic. I do have one that runs about 10 minutes.

Pat, It's a truly "special" place devised by our idiot governor, a place where the offensive indices of gender, like the words "father" and "mother," must be removed from the state curriculum. You've probably seen him playing in movies like Kindergarten Cop. We are required to learn to pronounce the word the way he does (or be jailed as a politically incorrect heretic).

Yes, Pat, Cahlifonya is truly a fantasyland where winter is simulated for the camera and the governator is truely from the big screen. I'm working on my pronuciation for its new name.
