Hello, all



If anybody is interested, I have a powerpoint presentation where I documented the construction of my fuel tanks (mostly photos).

Send me a note off-list and I'll forward the file.

I am building a CH601-HD, so the shape of the tank is different, but the process can be copied.

 

(If you do not have powerpoint, there is a free version of MS-Office like products available that can be downloaded from http://www.openoffice.org/ - versions for Mac and Windows available.)

 

Below some information I put together for someone that was interested and may be of help to some of you:

I bought fuel senders and gauges from Don's sport vehicles (www.egauges.com):

 226-002 fuel sender 10-180 ohms $37.75 each

301-104 gauge 2 1/6" for above, Vision Black $25.55  (they may have left and right versions. If

they do, I suggest you get one of each. I got 2 of the same - no big deal, but it would

 have been better.)



From AS&S:



Cherry Q BSPQ 42 and 43 - you will have to estimate how many of each you need.



AN818-4D AN fittings nut (x2) 0.39 each

AN819-4D AN fittings sleeve (x2) 0.33 each

 AN807-4D AN fittings adapter (x2) 8.60 each

AN924-4D AN fittings nut (x2) 0.38 each

03-40400 3003-0 tube 1/4" OD x .032" W (5') 0.50/foot 

(All of the above for the vent tubes)

AN867-2 alum. welding flanges (x2) 6.70 each

 AN867-3 alum. welding flanges (x2) 6.85 each (fuel output to engine)

05-01870 Curtis drain valves CCA-1600 (x2) 9.60 each

05-17700 finger strainers (x2) 3.40 each

05-01061 UD-3-F fuel cap w/ flat adaptor (x2) 39.95 each

 09-38560 PTS proseal 890-class B-type II (x1) 49.20



This might not be exactly what's in the plans, but it works.

If you don't want to install a whole software suite then Microsoft has free

viewers for PowerPoint, Word and Excel:

You may have to install the "Compatibility Pack for the Word, Excel, and
