I'm about to start riveting forward part of fuselage together. But I'm still unsure if to rivet everything,
that includes the side skins or leave at least one just clecoed to get easy access for routing cables and brake lines later.
What is your experience? Is it still easy to do everything from inside or is it better to do everything before riveting, or partially as I planned?

Hi Pavel,

I found riveting the side skins and leaving off the top skins was a
good compromise. You can reach most things from the top of the
fuselage. On occasion I have had to drill out a few rivets, but that
is not particularly hard - especially after the first 50 or so . . .

Pavel,

There are lots of things to do in that cabin area of the fuselage that are VERY difficult to do with the side skins in place. I would put off riveting the forward side skins as long as possible. I neglected to install the cotter pins in the bolts holding the rudder cables to the pedals. I nearly strained a gut getting them installed later. Try to think of everything that must be done especially in that area forward of the instrument panel and below the upper longeron. Think brake line installation, bolts for the motor mount, rudder cables, anything you want to bolt to the firewall. Get all that one before taking the plunge to rivet those forward side skins. Pulling clecoes is so much easier than drilling out rivets or turning yourself into a contortionist.

Pavel-
I second Jay's recommendation. I have to fight to keep from closing up the front fuse sides, but I wind up thanking myself in the end every time. It's very frustrating, because you're making progress with all the wiring, cable, fuel, etc. connections but when someone comes over it doesn't look like you've done anything since the last time they came over. It's all psychological- you have to fight the temptation.
I haven't even put my project on the gear yet. I built my fuse in Larry Mac's cradle which allows me to move it around my shop with one finger. If I attach the wheels, I guarantee I'll be dinging everything up bouncing into things all over the shop.

Some builders have rigged up a way to easily flip the fuselage upside
down. One guy I know bolted a wooden frame to the engine mounts with a
pipe projecting from it to use as an axle. The pipe was supported by
an external stand while the tail was lifted up and rotated.

It's much easier to stand or sit under the inverted fuselage and reach
up into it to work than it is to climb in and stand on your head to
work on the upright fuselage.

Thanks everyone,
I'll keep the side skins just clecoed in place. I'm a slow builder and I think, my arm would be dead by doing everything from the bottom up Very Happy
