Hi Guys, I have changed my Zenith canopy for a Todd’s version and have noticed the gas struts are a little weak due to the Todd’s increased weight. Has anybody else noticed? If so did you change the gas struts? Cheers PeterWonthaggi Australia

I used 80 lbs gas struts from McMaster. My issue was that I mounted the canopy too far on the front side and I could not get the right opening angle (it opens only 45 degree).

Michel

Glad to hear I am not the only one to do this.
I bought the 80 lbs struts and cut the off. Works ok.

I went with 60# on the standard canopy. McMaster. Cut both arms shorter ( to avoid front edge of canopy touching front skin when open).
Works great!

Mike
