Re: The oil cooler splitter for RV-10s.  We here at Airflow Systems supply these splitters at no charge when you buy one of our X series oil coolers from Alex de Dominicis or from us.  We did extensive testing to validate the effect of the splitter and it improves the air distribution over the face of the oil cooler, which improves the effectiveness of the cooler.    

   

The stock Vans cooler is insufficient if you are in a warm climate and wish to fly the RV-10 at gross and obtain anything close to optimum climb performance.  We have now delivered over 85 2006X and 2008X coolers, mostly to RV and F-1 Rocket owners.  We also supply a variety of louvers as most Van’s and James cowls have insufficient exit area.  

   

I try to stay off the forums as a commercial entity, but since we developed the splitter we thought people should know they are available, with instructions, for $49.00 from Airflow Systems, 949-218-9701.

Is there a picture and/or more detailed description of the splitter available?  I have your cooler (thru alex) and would like more info on it.

Thanks, that explains a bunch.  May want to add it in May when I do my 1st year inspection.
