Hi Guys
Getting ready for paint, and trying to figure out if I can install the horizontal stab and elevator after riveting the fiber glass fairing , it doesn't look like it . Any suggestions on this? It will be hard to paint separately . If I install the horizontal stab then I cannot get it out of the garage.

Henry,
Cut the fiberglass fairing so the horizontal stab and vertical stab pieces are separate for installation. You could rivet the vertical stab fairing in place, but I would use screws to install the horizontal stab fairing pieces in place; you'll have to remove these pieces at a later date for inspection anyways. Doing it this way will allow you to install elevator and stab.
Cheers,
Jeff

Henry,
You have to cut the fairings. I'll see if I can get a picture to you tomorrow or within a day or two.

I think we are talking about different fairings , I was talking about the one you get in two pieces and have to join with fiberglass it attaches to the fuselage and the vertical fin, I did not receive any for the ends of the horizontal stab .

Henry,
I was referring to the main fairing (V & H Stab), yes you get it in two halves and have to put it together. But for the ease of doing inspections/maintenance put a cut line in the fairing; separating the V stab from the H stab.
I am not referring to the fiberglass tips on the stab, those should be a no brainer.
My offer to provide you with a picture of the main stab fairing installation is still open........ If we're on the same page.
Cheers,
Jeff
