I know lots of you flying/building have the overhead console with air vents
in place. My question is who has used one with a 90 degree inlet connector
with 1 1/4 to max. 2" dia. hose? AND, of course, the main question is where
can I get them? I am fabricating my own upper console and would like to
make it no more that 1 1/2 inches down from the canopy top. Was in Aircraft
Spruce today and looked at their 90 degree vent - it is very nice but is
fixed in position - as in straight down blown air with an on/off positon
only, no swivel to control air flow position on the person in need.
If nothing like this is available, what are others doing to route the
ducting f rom straight up to aft without gobbling up an additional 2 inches
over and above what the vent protrudes through the console?

I don't have an overhead....at least not like what you are talking about.
But, I was assuming (I know that that means) that the formed consoles were
sealed and that the entire console was being pressurized. Thus all you have
to do is mount the vents where you want and seal around the lights, wire
entrances, etc.

I have the overhead console from Flightline AC and that is how mine
works. The entire console is pressurized. It works fine and I have no
condensation problems even in high humidity.

I'm not sure what you are asking but this is how I got air into the overhead
console. It has 4 eyeball vents and 4 small lights. I used the same NACA
vent assys that are in front because I could easily attach a section of
screen.

i have the same setup and all works well in sweaty corpus christi. robert N661G 300 hrs
