I have recently had one of those supposedly fuel resistant hoses, 1/8" ID, blue, transparent, that are used on some primers, break. Fortunately it was on the ground and only fuel was spilled. The hose had been in use for several years. It had become discolored (brownish) and then cracked halfway through. I have now replaced those hoses with automotive rubber hose of the same ID and would recommend that you check if you have any of that stuff and replace it.

Hi Sonja,
Part of the snag list for importing my Pulsar is the fuel system. I have to change over to the equivalent of hydraulic pressure lines, fire sleeved, and employ firewall fittings. Also, I believe that there is a minimum ID of 3/8 inch required to supply minimum 30GPH - even if you don't need it. The glass fuel filter located under my cowl has to go too, and a gascolator must be installed. Plastic is definitely out, at least inside the cowl.
I have to do a fuel flow test as part of the import regardless of whether the aircraft meets the standard, and provide it to DOT to get signed off.
Our standards come from AC 43.13 so why aren't all amateur built aircraft in the US following it?
