I have some questions about using the RV-7A Firewall Forward Kit on my RV-6AQB project (i.e. yes, I have purchased the RV-7A Firewall Forward Kit and the RV-6A additions).<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
As I understand, in using this kit on an RV-6A one treats everything forward of firewall or that attaches to both sides of the firewall per the RV-7A plans / instructions. Aft of the firewall, parts are installed per the RV-6A plans with the following exceptions:
- The "RV-7A tunnel" is used to cover the fuel line between the fuel valve forward ofthe spar and the low pressure pump on the firewall. The fuel valve is installed per the RV-6A drawings.
- The carburetor heat, throttle and mixture controls are installed horizontally under the instrument panel. In what order are these typically installed (i.e. I am will be installing a carbureted 0-360)? Where does the cabin heat control get placed?
Do I understand correctly?
Thanks.
