How does the elevator bellcrank\pushrod handle the twisting motion from the front of the stick? Do the rod ends really take that much rotation?

I don't have the stops in for the aileron bell crank yet, so I have even more stick swing than is actually allowed. The amount it swings is a total of 6" aprox. measured at base of the controle stick, without aileron stops installed (3" left an 3" right) the rod ends easily take up that travel with room for more twist. If I had encountered binding in the rod ends the simple solution would be to add small diameter washers on either side of the rod end, but I didn't have that problem. I don't have the proper hardware in; in the picture (bolts to long) they were just installed to check freedom of movement.
The elevator bell crank pivot point is in the exact location relative to the torque tube (notice in pic, the original steel mount cut down) so the length of the elevator push/pull tube is the same as the plans. The elevator bell crank angle and demention is also the same as the plans. Which means the length of the elevator control cables do not change, and the elevator bell crank dose not change, big plus if your retro fitting.
This didn't take to long to fabricate and to anyone considering a retro fit I'd say it'd take less than 2hrs to install (provided you'd spent a few hours in the shop fabricating the mount). Even the push pull tube can be reused with welded in threaded ends for the rod ends.

nice work. Any way i´d like to know if there is no change in pitch while you turn, because I think that while turning you might be pulling the elevator bellcrank through the pushrod . Isn´t it, or is it just negligible ?
Thanks for your help. Leonardo

Leonardo,
Myself and another mechanic cannot see any noticeable movement of the elevator bell crank going full aileron travel left, right (no aileron stops installed yet). Cannot be absolutely certain that there isn't a slight pitch movement (we just eyeballed it) however it is so slight I cannot imagine any pilot noticing it in a coordinated turn.
I can respond after we finish up the cable rigging and let anyone interested know (reply if so) how much elevator deflection there is with full aileron travel but I'd be surprised if we see anything.

Thank you Dave. Did you use standard rod ends, like the ones supplied ? Thank for your help, and I´ll be waitng for your good results. Leo

Leonardo,
Elevator cables in, and there is no deflection of the elevator when stick is moved from full left to full right or visa versa.
