Does anybody have any experience with straight bore aircraft cylinders?
I came upon this website that seems to be all for it:

All the Jacobs cylinders are straight walled barrels. The " choke "
gets in the barrel when the head is screwed on at manufacturing and is
caused by the interference fit between the barrel thread and the thread
in the head. Theoretically, when the engine is up to operating
temperature a choked barrel is straight. This is the likely reason for
minimum in flight cylinder head temperatures recimmended by almost all
the manufacturers.
I looked up the website. I want to see the data on the 15-45 more
horsepower. I think that's B.S. until I see some substantiating data.

There's a few threads on it over at VAF. I was tempted and Chuck about had me convinced but I wanted new cylinders and I wasn't going to have them ground straight and void the warranty and add cost.
Chuck Claims more power and cooler temps, but it doesn't seem to be getting popular. I'd love to see some real data from a Dynon.

I have some of Chucks cylinders on my IO-360-A1A. My cylinders do run
cool, rarely over 350 even here in Aridzona in the summer. I won't may
any claims about power. On the other hand, one does need to look in
Lycoming's table of clearances and set ring gaps appropriate to
straight bore. Yes, Lycoming actually publishes ring gaps for straight
bore cylinders. It may involve getting .005 oversize rings and filing
them down to correct clearance. I have about 700 hours on the engine
since I rebuilt it. Compressions are still all good.
