I have a question related to the attached picture. I would like to run some wires and pitot lines from in front of the spar to behind the spar. What do you think about drilling a hole where I put the arrow, putting in a grommet, and running the stuff through?

Curt

Generally, I would say no to drilling in that region. Your best bet would be to come through a lightening hole further out and come through the ribs aft of the fuel tank.
Best bet would be to ask Caleb at the factory.

I have not built my wings yet but would agree with Doug. Any extra holes will weaken the spar. This look close to the wing attachment point. I would keep as much of the integrity here as possible.

I have a grommet and pass through for the pitot\AOA lines on the tiny inside most rib. From there there is plenty of room to move the lines into the cabin where ever you want.

Attached is a picture of how I eventually ran the wires and lines. I made a strain relief to make a tight bend in the inner most nose rib.
