I had them put in my rebuilt engine by Mississippi South, a Rotax
engine rebuilder. I really like the power I have. With a Prince
power tip I can fly at 155 mph true at about 5000 rpms in my XP.
The only comparison that I can make is last year, Austin Moses and I
went flying (he has an 80 HP XP with a Prince power tip), his comment
was that I could climb out a lot faster than he could. My plane is
quite a bit heavier than his and I throttled back a little.
I have about 120 hrs on the engine with no problems.

Dennis -
What is the lowest octane fuel you are able to run with the high compression pistons and fuel burn rate at 5,000 rpm cruise?

Dave,
I usually run 91 octane no alcohol auto fuel, and 100 LL when I have to usually going cross country. I am at 4856 feet msl when I take off however so that 91 octane seems just fine.

Dave
I use 87 in my 912 UL but the 912 ULS or the high
compression pistons in the 912 should use 91.
