Hello guys,
Haven't posted much ... too busy flying!
I was wondering, what would you recommend as an amphibious float for my Kitfox 3 and Jabiru 2200?
I have just bought a summer house near the water, here in Norway and ... well, you can figure it out!
Cheers,
Michel

Hi Michel-
I can't really "recommend" them as yet, but I've just ordered a basic
kit of Zenair floats, and haven't taken delivery as yet. And I don't
know if I'll even get off the water with them, but I needed a project
pretty soon. (The Republic RC-3 Seabee that I've been working on is
almost ready for a test flight, and I know I'll go into post-partem
(?) depression if I don't get a project going).

Michel, I have a set of Aerocet 1100 Amphibious floats which I had fitted to my Kitfox 3 for 2 years. Since I will shortly be moving to a location where float flying is impracticable I have no further use for them and would be happy to give them to you free, if you can find a way to collect them from the UK. If you (or anyone else) is interested I suggest you contact me off list to discuss details- mikelaundy45(at)gmail.com
Cheers

I Solar Kitfox to last year with a 582 and he just retrofitted with the 670 rotax Rick engine as well as full lotus floats and claims off the water in 3 to 4 seconds. Now. Wow
