Hi,
I read that a few owners of 701s have fitted fore and aft latches to the bubble doors, both for door security and draught exclusion.
I have acquired the 750 drawings for the basic idea but wonder what material for the fore and aft push/pull rods (75Z2-2 and 75Z2-6). From the drawings they do look solid bar. I would be interested to know what others have used for the push/pull rods. Aluminium or steel?
Additionally, any photos would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard
The drawings show 4130 steel my colleague need to make a set of latches in near future and is thinking a third latch at the front of door would be a good idea
Do not archive

Thanks Stephen. We have the central one at present but are planning to fit a forward and a rearward latch. This will not only secure the door better but will prevent/reduce draughts from where the door gapes in flight.
