Hi ,
I know that New Zealand CAA gave the agreement to a workshop to make the modification from Housai to M14 engine.
contact :aerotech(at)ihug.co.nz
I gave all information and doc to my UK workshop in case of and to prepare any necessary exchange .
In France there is no agreement to work on it , All EU CJ6 are under UK registration (5).
If UK CAA have an example , outside US FAA for experimental , that could clearly help.
best regards
Bruno

Get in touch with Bob at White Waltham. His Chang is almost ready with the M14P.

As I have written before, Americans are extraordinarily lucky in their
freedom to do what they would like with these aircraft. Unfortunately, the
situation in Europe is much more complicated, but we have been helping Bob
Davy to install an M 14 P and a V-530 two-blade propeller, which we have
supplied, into his Nanchang. However, UK CAA have made quite a meal of the
conversion, asking for new stress calculations on the engine mounting arms
and so forth. This is despite the number of M 14 P engined Nanchangs flying
successfully around the world.
I'm copying this email to Bob should anyone want to contact him directly.

Hi Top Ace,
I own a CJ in Canada and am very close to receiving approval from Transport Canada to installing my recently purchased M14P. I'd be happy to share information if you call me at (250) 882-1895.
