folks, recent intermittent issue with landing gear. Need some advice or thoughts about it.
condition:
hydraulic system full
accumulators 75-80
all systems functioning (flaps, speed brakes)
all other systems normal
Take off, cycle gear it starts then stays stuck varying levels of "upness, sometimes a little, sometimes almost up, brake is cycling (to brake the spinning wheels) very little movement of pole retraction
push the down button, they lock up and we get poles and greens.
cycle up, same as before.
cycle down, lock and land.
open the drain in the right wing a bit, no air comes out, let the fluid drip a little (4-8 drops) tighten it up, test flight everything works.
of note, when opening the hydraulic tank to check levels the fluid is quite frothy (cavitation)
anyone see this, or have an idea as to where to start to trouble shoot. it is intermittent. flew 10 flights last weekend with no problems
thanks
Mike

in the right wheel well, how many drain valves do u have? One is over the main wheel the other will be on leading edge. If only one, it is the flap drain. the gear drain is in the cockpit. Emergency valves closed completely?

thanks Dawg,
confirmed the emergency valves in both pits closed. There is only 1 drain in the right wing. it is right above the tire/wheel assembly. I cannot see any other drains near the leading edge or other.
where in the front pit is it accessed? the fluid is as you've described.
thanks for your quick reply.

I had issue like that too. Turned out to be my hydraulic pump. Started with intermittent speed brakes until they stopped working. Then the gear only worked at high throttle settings.. replaced the pump all was good

dawg,,, yes the hydraulic dump valve. I don't think this was properly serviced after the annual and the gear were cycled. as well as the e-gear testing.
So I unscrewed it (the hydraulic dump valve), let it sit. Drained the flap valve as well. Went flying everything worked well.
So, I'll monitor. It could very well be a faulty pump or "intermittent failing pump" thanks guys.

Thanks for all the advice, 2 flights now zero issues, after having "serviced the aircraft" bleed valves.
