I'm getting ready to start taking my Cj back to bare metal and repaint it. Is there anything special about the original paint or the skin coatings I need to be concerned with?

My original paint is well past looking authentic and it's definitely not worth sanding down and painting over there is so many low spots it might just as well go back to bare skin.
