So Im not quite there yet but I am coming up on the 5 year rubber replacement.  Its passed incredibly fast.

Can anyone suggest the appropriate source in the US for the 1" fuel resistant hose for the fuel tank bosses?

We just use 1" rubber automotive hose since fuel never touches it.

I ordered this a few years ago:

But beware, I only had fuel in my tank 5-6 months and the exterior of this hose is showing signs of degradation (exterior cracking, particularly at the ends). I bought it about three years ago and was stored indoors so don't understand why it is cracking. But it's not leaking. I wonder if I tightened them too much, dunno.



Really not looking forward to trying to replace those hoses, particularly when I haven't even flown the airplane yet. By looking at that area I even wonder if the things will come out!!

I am a big fan of Gates Automotive Hoses – they have a staggering range and all products have detailed specifications that you can down load. 

I would not use a non-fuel rated hose in a fuel contact application – just asking for problems.
