Hi all,
I would like to know what is the position to leave the engine cranckshaft stop to help with the oïl that come out of the exhaust when you do your hand prop checking for an hydraulic lock. I would assume it is with number one cylinder at top dead center, that this position would minimise the oil draining in the lower cylinders
Sometime I have no oil at all coming out even after a month being parked but most other days I make a real mess so I am looking for a way to position the engine crankshaft to minimise that.
Thanks
Sylvain April

Without a series 2 nose case with a site window there is no way except opening intake drain and wait 24 hours then pull blades until oil drains . Stop there. Otherwise pull. Ladies weekly if it’s going to sit for a month or more.
