Is this a standard size oil cooler for Yak 50? My oil temp. is always in the red. Removed, soaked in cleaner 2 days, pumped cleaner until showing clear. No change….

It is a common error to think that you can clean out a 40 year old oil cooler with solvent. Over the years the entire inside of the cooler will be covered with caked and hard oil residue, and no amount of solvent will remove it. The only way to do this is to go to a specialist company with big industrial ultrasonic cleaners which vibrate the oil cooler and these parts will then become dislodged. After that you then use your solvent. There is no other way that will work! Richard

But, is this a standard size or is there a larger one. I have had comments saying both….. And is the current size sufficient enough to cool the oil?

From what I could see on my bore scope, the inside was clean.
