This just arrived in my inbox today. I can't get into it on their website, so who can give me the contents of the bulletin, thanks?
Service Bulletin 19
We would like to draw your attention to Service Bulletin 19, issued by Europa today. This is applicable to all Europa aircraft and requires a pressure test to be performed on the fuel tank to ensure its integrity.
Service Bulletin 19
If you cannot access the Members Only section of the Europa Website to view the Service Bulletins, please register at www.europa-aircraft.co.uk/#register.
A test kit can be purchased from Europa Aircraft if required. This contains all necessary pipes, bungs, connections, gauges and clips, the majority of which will come pre-assembled.
Product Code: SB19TestKit
Price: £312.30
Lead time: two weeks from time of order

Jonathan,
There is a link in the email that takes you to Swift Europa website where you can register. After you register (you have to provide a user name and password), you can access Service Bulletins as well as Build Manuals.
It worked find for me a couple hours ago.

Thanks Jim. I tried that without success. Any chance that someone can reproduce the actual document here online?

Many thanks for your swift response. Being a UK resident, it surprises me that there is no mention made anywhere of our LAA Light Aircraft Association having endorsed this. But no doubt they're fully aware of it.
Of course I'm going to view this bulletin with a jaundiced eye, taking the attitude that if a leak should arise in the fuel tank, or anywhere else in the fuel system for that matter, then I'm going to smell it as soon as it occurs and start immediate investigation.
The supply of test kits might not be adequate for initial demand in the UK, but they state 2 weeks lead time, so ..........
I've already tried contacting my aircraft's LAA inspector, to get his take on it.

I might just add that I incorporated the Bug Yerly modification prior to putting any fuel in my tank.
This was published in the Europa magazine and involves filling the gap between the bottom of the tank and the aircraft fuselage floor with non-expanding foam.
Since this mitigates the previous problem with weight on the "ledge" that the tank sits on, it stop it cracking and therefore leaking.
I have only just done the first engine start in December with a few runs since, so I do not have any flight time as yet - a year of paperwork awaits.
However I am reluctant to pull out all the nicely installed fuel piping on the off-chance that something that has not happened and has been already mitigated, might happen, even though it should not.
I wonder if Europa could benefit from actually speaking to the Europa club, who have a wealth of knowledge.
Regards

Why does it surprise you? Europa/Swift, although UK based, supplied kits worldwide - they don't mention FAA, DGAC, CASA etc either. The same as any Piper or Cessna SB doesn't mention the FAA.
If the LAA want to make this SB into a MPD they will.
Cheers,
