I have a maule tail wheel on my KF 2 and the spring is steel two leaf,
looks to be a bit heavier than needed the wheel and leaf assembly weighs a
little over ten pounds the leaf spring weighs 5 lbs by itself. Anybody know
of a source for aluminum or some sort of composite leaf spring on the
market and what tailwheel recommendation as far as light weight. I need to
shed as much weight to keep my aft CG in check as I can. Thanks Mark

I opted for the Matco tailwheel (5 lbs) and got a one piece aluminum spring
from Grove Aircraft. Looks good and performs well.
