I have a V35A.... when we flew it the other day, we had to go to a manual gear extension because the circuit breaker kept blowing when we moved the switch.
We have it up on jacks now, and it will pull the gear up very nicely... but extending the gear is another story. The gear starts to extend, but then after about 3 seconds of operation, the circuit breaker goes.... reset the circuit breaker and you have another 3 seconds of operation before it goes again.
We've taken all the connections off and cleaned them without any change. There doesn't seem to be any binding when manually extending the gear.
The plane just came out of annual.
Any ideas?

Have you checked to see if the dynamic brake relay is energized when the switch is moved to the down position? this will cause the breaker to pop. this condition is most likely caused by a loose or broken microswitch. The next most likely suspect would be the switch its self.
