Hi,
I got a tow bar with my airplane and live only one country mile from the field. I used the tow bar a couple times and I did not like the stress that it appeared to put on the tail post area of the airplane, especially in a turn, nor did I enjoy the stress that it put on me. Though I keep the airplane at the field, I bought a boat trailer and did a real rudimentary modification and only have about $100. in the whole thing. It is easier and less stressful on me and the airplane with it on the trailer. You still have to observe the normal towing limitations with regard to fuel in wing, control surfaces, etc. I use it to bring the plane home for extended maintenance and it is made in such a manner that other airplanes would easily be accommodated on it, so other can use it.
